Our church was formed in 1807 and was one of the pioneer churches in the formation of the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) which was founded in 1823 in Virginia, marking the beginning of a cooperative missions and ministry organization for Baptist churches in the state, focused on spreading the gospel and fostering church autonomy.
